Like you, Dr. Myke Merrill has always wondered, "Why do people act that way?" More importantly, "What can I do about it?" How we choose to interact with others might be the most significant choice we can make - as individuals and as professionals.
Creator of the Reality Intelligence(TM) and the Flow of Power(TM) frameworks, author and international speaker, Dr. Myke Merrill is...
Author of 29 books and training resources
Retired community leader and counselor in the Rochester, NY, area
Board member with executive roles in the local Chamber of Commerce and the Hilton Education Foundation
Small business owner with ventures in family entertainment, signage, and publishing.
Adjunct professor at Roberts Wesleyan University
Founder of Centro Educativo Verdad y Vida de Honduras, a school for grades K-11 in Honduras, plus other international work
Outside of his occupational life, he is passionate about his family and his work with charitable organizations serving orphans and emerging leaders in developing countries around the world.
Dr. Myke's specialty is interpersonal dynamics. His research affects self-awareness, leadership and cooperation, sales and service, and anyone else who works with people.
Dr. Myke developed the concept of "Reality Intelligence," which personal awareness and interpretation of Reality comes through four Complexes: Perceptions, Emotions, Motivations, and Behaviors. These four Complexes have a total of 22 Elements, which are ultimately interactive.
RI offers real insight into the age-old question, "Why do people act that way?" More importantly, "What can I do about it?"

"Conflict is like fire. It can burn you, or it can warm you." When you apply the principles of Reality Intelligence to interpersonal conflict, suddenly the "cons" of conflict become "pros."

"Power" is the human force that answers the adverbial questions on any event: who, what, when, where, how, why did it happen the way it did. "Power" is not static - it flows within and between people. This is a masterclass on interpersonal dynamics.

Reason #1 He’s Not a Top Expert in Your Field
He's likely never worked a day in your industry. Instead, he'll stay within his own areas of expertise, bring his unique perspective, and share his experiences working with other organizations, but he won't ever pretend to be a master of your craft.
Reason #2 He Won't Be Your Cheapest Option
Although “cheap” is rarely something experienced selection committees look for, you should
know that Dr. Myke’s fees fall somewhere in the middle of the pack. If you think of speaker fees as
an expense instead of an investment and if you look only at price instead of value, then Dr. Myke is
not your guy. He often can work out mutually beneficial exchanges of value. He won’t judge you if your budget is smaller and he won’t gouge you if it is larger.
Reason #3 He's a White Male
Diversity and inclusion are touchy subjects for some but VERY important to Dr. Myke. Not just
because of equity concerns, but because of the value of having varied perspectives represented
during events. He’ll always recommend that your speaker selection committee make an active,
intentional effort to include women, BIPOC, LGBTQ, and yes, even white male speakers.
Reason #4 He's Not a Celebrity
Look, he’s not going to be a major part of your short-term “butts in seats” plan. All he can do is create post-event buzz and bump your pre-registrations for next year. It won’t help you this year.
