Reason #1 - He’s Not a Top Expert in Your Field
He's likely never worked a day in your industry. Instead, he'll stay within his own areas of expertise, bring his unique perspective, and share his experiences working with other organizations, but he won't ever pretend to be a master in your craft.
Reason #2 - He Won't Be Your Cheapest Option
Although “cheap” is rarely something experienced selection committees look for, you should
know that Dr. Myke’s fees fall somewhere in the middle of the pack. If you think of speaker fees as
an expense instead of an investment and if you look only at price instead of value, then Dr. Myke is
not your guy. He often can work out mutually beneficial exchanges of value. He won’t judge you if your budget is smaller and he won’t gouge you if it is larger. You WILL get what you pay for!
Reason #3 - He's a White Male
Diversity and inclusion are touchy subjects for some but VERY important to Dr. Myke. Not just
because of equity concerns, but because of the value of having varied perspectives represented
during events. He’ll always recommend that your speaker selection committee make an active,
intentional effort to include women, BIPOC, LGBTQ, and yes, even white male speakers.
Reason #4 - He's Not an Entertainer
When people go to see an Entertainer, they know they will never be able to do what that expert did. And the Entertainer knows the audience will never be able to do it either. Dr. Myke is a catalyst and consultant - he fully expects the participants CAN and WILL do what he has learned and done - and even more than that!
